Answer» Always, when I reinstall Windows (XP) I never install Intel Chipset driver. And in the Device MANAGER, nothing is wrong.
so, should I install this driver?Yep, ESPECIALLY if it involves the Video Card.I installed this OS 3 months ago and if I install this driver NOW, will there be problem?Probably not, but before you do:
Is your video displaying correctly? Have you gotten any errors recently?sometimes, while playing video FILE, it's is freezing for 0,5 seconds... I have got no errors.
so, install this driver now, right? Are you having other problems besides the brief moments when the video "freezes?"no.
also, i forgot to TELL that on my driver CD, when I click on CHIPSET,
my windows is SERVICE PACK 3It should support it, but besides your video freezing for a second, then it SEEMS that you should go ahead an install it.There is never a reason to NOT install chipset drivers... You are probably running generic Windows in their place and will most likely see a performance gain afterwards.Unless there are complications, for example I had to reinstall my chipset drivers on my GX270 due to some problem with the main drivers, and the chipset drivers had a problem with some of the system files(Later on found out that the HD crashed)
But besides that Patio is right
