Answer» when you say it starts over please don't tell me you are referring to a reboot- because the reason it would START over is because the windows XP CD is still in the drive Also ensure that the floppy drive is plugged in- don't know why a HDD would fail SIMULTANEOUSLY with a diskette drive, but as you said it exclaimed Diskette Drive seek error, so... I've only ever had a single computer become unusable in my life, and I also have a AMD K6-2 350Mhz still TRUCKING quite well with Windows XP. If you have any friends that are good (and I don't mean changing fonts in word good ) with computers you should SEE if you could get them to install XP for you.
