Hi, i am new member in this forum, and i need your help to know what is the REASON for this case:-
1- I had free space in hard (c) almost (1.5 GB) so i want to increase this free space so i did UNINSTALL for two programs (one of them is 333 MB and other is 600 MB) but the fress space in C: decrease to (1.3GB) instead of inecrement.
2- In the same time, the performance of computer is slow down, especially when i open internet explorer 7.0 (it open so slow, and some times the internet explorer dont response).
3- I have already Kaspersky AntiVirus 6.0 and i update it every day, i have firwall also, and Ad-Aware program.
I don't know if the reason of this case is virus or something else.. is Kaspersky is good enough?
i have laptop with 2.6 GHz CPU and 512 MB of RAMDo you ever run any disk cleanup tools? You could start by RUNNING Windows Disk Cleanup and see where your free space stands after that. This may also improve the performance of Internet Explorer. You might benefit further by downloading CCleaner and USING it to clean your system. So, do some disk cleanup and then LET us know how things are going.

not to mention turning down your firewall, set it to medium.Kaspersky is defintely good enough, as for the slowing down....

get Spybot to clean up anything Ad-Aware might have left behind.
