Answer» Ok, i have a Dell Inspiron 1200 laptop. i have an an HDTV with a VGA port. i can connect it to my laptop, but when i close the screen it still shuts off. I tried GOING to my BIOS and changing it from default power off, but my laptop dosen't have that. is there a TYPE of softwware i can install to do this? PS: i got this idea from when they did this same thing with a sony VAIO on MTV's Pimp my Ride. Try Control panel --> Power OPTIONS --> Advanced. Options are there for what to do when you close the lid. Hope this helps.
