Answer»

tori ........ ok ....here's what I would suggest trying ....... open hijackthis and click system scan and save a logfile ....... then , down in the lower right corner ,where it says other stuff , click on config..... then when the next window opens , in each of the other 4 address boxes ....... enter ah......
http://www.msn.com then click on the back button thats in the lower right corner ......... Now then mark for removal the following :

HTTP Error 403
403.4 Forbidden: SSL required
This error indicates that the page you are trying to access is secured with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). In order to view it, you need to enable SSL by typing "https://" at the beginning of the address you are attempting to reach.
Please contact the Web server's administrator if the problem persists.

When I looked this problem up this is what they say..

Cause.

The HTML Admin (HTMLA) incorrectly allows you to enable Require Secure Channel when accessing this resource and Require 128-bit Encryption before an SSL certificate has been mapped to the Web site. The MMC does not allow you to enable either of these options until an SSL certificate has been assigned to the Web site using Key Manager.
Resolution.

To resolve this problem, assign an SSL certificate to the Web site using the MMC...

Now this is all jibberish to me.. I have no idea how to do what they say...

any ideas out there..
tori...... First off , you didnt mention if you machine is still running really slow , and you didnt post a complete logfile in your last post .

Please post the complete log .... and comment on the speed of your machine .

dl65 sorry, I was sure I had posted the complete file.. here goes again.. re the computer being slow,,, it is really slow whether I am trying to go from site to site or just working on the desktop... Its almost like there is something running continuously in the background which is using heaps of ram..
