I have a range of photos that appear to be damaged or CORRUPT possibly -
Irfanview states:as attached...
File size is 3.13mb according to properties.
Windows Picture and fax will not open neither will Paint, or Photoshop.
Microsoft Office Picture Manager - shows a red cross in the middle of the screen.
Interesting but opening with Notepad:

Are the files corrupt or in SOMEWAY repairable - these are pictures of my family so i am very keen to:
1) find out what's happened
2) recover and back up if possible
I had a SERIOUS virus a few months back that nearly knocked my PC out - had this affected these pictures?
