Solve : keylogger- i installed its now gone? |

Answer» ok i did SOMETHING really really dumb. First of all i was in class one day and i installed a free trial keylogger to one of the computers. I then put in a password and hid the program. After that i took it a step further. I created a new folder and renamed it so it didn't appear to have a name by pressing Alt and 0160 then changed the icon to an invisible one. I then put the keylogegr in that folder and put it on a floppy (so i could have access any time). After that i changed thee name of the keylogger to "my desktop" to avoid concern, and i made sure it caught all passwords. When i came back to class the next class the whole "invisible file" was GONE, i searched for it and looked where i put it. Even though it was a free trial it was for 2 weeks and scarcly 2 days have passed. Ok with this occurance of events...does this mean someone found my program...and even deleted it? -not that i care because my teacher is too stupid to trace it back to me and i would just blame it on someone else. and if they did would it just be deleted if i put it on again....all the users on the computer have admin ability...yeah pretty stupid but i'm not COMPLAINING. hen i came back to class the next class the whole "invisible file" was goneYeah, normally school computers reset themselves. Everytime i change something or put something on the desktop on my account for school, everything changes back and RESETS the next day like restore previous settings. It's most likely that is what happened to your keylogger. If you are caught putting a keylogger in school, you could get in serious trouble.I wouldn't advise it - but I doubt anyone's found it.ok thank you Quote from: phoenix910 on April 05, 2007, 04:30:47 AM I wouldn't advise it - but I doubt anyone's found it.
