Solve : Laptop charger help!?

Answer»

Hey, I bought a new laptop charger today (it's the origianl one, r500 LG laptop one), but it says it's plugged in but not charging?

is there any settings or something so I can change it? cause it stays at 0 percent, and says plugged in, not charging Urgent, I REALLY need helpHave you tested the charger on another laptop? How do you know its any good?

Hmm, well it's a new charger that's MADE for my laptop model, so yea it's good. And it does charge the laptop, I'm on it right now, it's just the laptop stays at 0 percent (while running) and doesn't continue charging. Even if I leave it on during the night while closed, it still doesn't charge the laptop :/I have a battery charger, and I cannot use it if it is plugged into a multi-socket extension cord with a switch on, so I have to use wall-outlets. So maybe you have to use a different outlet or maybe the laptop battery is not FUNCTIONAL. Maybe (hopefully) it's something else
It sounds LIKE the battery just isn't charging, and that the laptop is running directly from the wall outlet.

How old is the laptop?hi i'm new here,but i'll try to have a comment^^

hmmmm!!! ok ... first check your battery if it is defective or not working... if it is not just use your warranty on your "new" charger to replace it in a newer one ....^^ hope this will help u??

sorry about my grammar^^Sounds to me like you need a new battery.ON MY PHILLIPS LAPTOP I HAD TO GO INTO THE BIOS AND ON TGHE MAIN PAGE THERES AN OPTION CALLED CALIBRATEBATTERY. WHEN SELECTED IT DECHARGES THE BATTERY THEN RECHARGES IT AND SYNCHRONISES THE BATTERY WITH THE THINGY IN THE COMPUTER THAT TELLS IT HOW MUCH CHARGE IS IN/CHARGING ECT.THEN IT CONTIUNUES TO BOOT. WHEN THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALIBRATED AGAIN THE COMPUTER STARTS TO NOT RUN PROPERLEY AGIN, IT NEEDS TO BE REPEATED EVERY SO OFTEN. WE HAVE NEEDED TO DO IT TWICE SO FAR. COMPUTER IS 2 YRS OLD!
I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY! INITIALLY WITH THE SAME PROBLEM "BATTERY NOT CHARGING"And this made your capslock button stuck ? ?
I'd get a new battery and charger if this condition persists...Sorry i didnt realise about the caps button aspect... i type in caps at work as it is easier to read, my apologies. No problem...it looks like shouting in a Forum atmosphere though...
