Solve : LARGE LETTERS/NUMBERS?

hello all,

i just installed a new vga cable and ALL the LETTERS and NUMBERS are the size of;
after USING F8 to "start in safe mode".
the icons on my DESK top are the same, except that two are missing strictly because of their size.

what happened ?

...size of what?the size of the leters/numbers when you are in "safe mode".

or maybe i should say LARGE "font size"...Do you mean the resolution has changed? Everything changes "size" on different resolutions.

In Windows 7, you can right click the desktop, and choose Screen Resolution in the menu. Mine has a "Recommended" resolution of 1920 x 1080.

If not that, do you mean just the desktop icon size? In Windows 7 you can right click the desktop, and hover over the View option in the menu. It lets you choose Large, Medium or Small desktop icons.

I understood him to mention safe mode only to DESCRIBE how text looked on his screen, not that he was actually using safe mode.  I think we NEED some clarification from miming on this point.
