Solve : Legal Music Downloads?? |
|
Answer» I used to download all kinds of MUSIC, But now that people are getting arrested for doing so, I am a little paranoid about downloading music on the Internet. But I miss it sooo much. Any legal programs out there for downloading MP-3s ? well you can get napster to go or zune pass or something for only $15 a month per service and get free downloads or if you DONT MIND the music just streaming the there is a $13 napster thing too I don't know but I think you can purchase music on Itunes as well.lol but then you have to pay 99 cents per song Maybe a proxy? I'm no expert though, but I think good, tested anonymous proxies hide your IP and will save you any trouble. proxies wont do anything on a web browser yes but peergardian on the other hand... Good anonymous proxies hide your real IP address no matter what you're using to surf/download, surely? only on a the interent sites you visit Quote from: chad on August 11, 2008, 12:23:09 AM Quote from: computeruler on August 11, 2008, 12:20:42 AMUnfortunately, we don't talk about that kind of stuff here. That's the whole point of the band releasing a CD - you pay money for it. Anything you download for free is "copyrighted", and therefore illegal.9 inch mails let people download their new album for free so if you like them and there is a site with free inde rock i cant remember the name and also pandora to listen to free music streamingA little light reading on proxies/IP blockers and just how anonymous you really are. The Internet by it's very nature is not private. Everything you do is traceable, BACK to you. Quote from: Shadow_Puter_Dude Just because you are using a proxy, does not mean you are not traceable. You are still assigned an IP, and I will see that IP in my logs. You do something, illegal on a site, law enforcement will just get a court order for the IP trace, the Proxy will be required to give up the IP that was assigned that particular Proxy IP at that time, and they will continue to trace you to your ISP and get your information from them. Most often it's only a three step process. The proxy, your ISP, and then you.I have to concur that anonimity on the internet pretty much doesn't exist. As for music...Hype Machine is a favorite site of mine and it's about 98% legal. But if you're not into the indie scene, you may have trouble finding something you like. EDIT: Wow this site is pretty cool Yes, it is perfectly safe. The songs don't always work, but in my years of using the site, safety has never been an issue. |
