Answer» I use Outlook Express for my Email. Running Windos XP. Use Explorer 8 as default. (newer versions don't work w/XP). I suddenly have a problem with links in my incoming Emails. Any links included in any Email don't open Explorer and also don't work if Explorer is open. I recently tried FIREFOX but had other problems with that and had to uninstall it. Can anyone help??Do you get a message along the lines of (paraphrasing because it's been a while) that the action is not allowed? If so, you need to reset your default browser, this is often caused by installing/uninstalling Chrome actually, though Firefox can cause this too. To do this, go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults and set Internet Explorer to be your default web browser. Hope this helps Thanks, But unfortunately it didn't work. No message pops up, it's just that nothing happens when you click on a link. This is also dependent on if the person sending the link did it properly or not...are they highlighted in Blue ? ?...or just PLAIN text...if plain text then it's an issue on the senders end...Make sure IE is set as your default browserI.E. is set as the default browser. Yes the links are in blue and the emails are MOSTLY from various COMMERCIAL senders like health newsletters. So I don't think they are the problem. Thank you for the suggestions. And I'm sorry - I see Calum made the same suggestion previously.Don't be sorry! Any input is APPRECIATED.
