Answer» Hi - I have a problem with long running SCRIPTS. I have checked Microsoft but got no results. I have an account but I can't get in to it. Can someone tell me how to get rid of long running scripts. Thanks for any help. BobHi - After consulting with Microsoft's community , it is my impression that you can not do any thing about a long running script. You just have to live with it. BobThere are script blockers out there for browsers...
Long running scripts are a sign of a poorly built website...patio - OK you know I'm not to smart but GIVE me instructions on how to get a script blocker. I am using Windows 7 and Crome is my default browser. I do not have any trouble when I use Crome. I prefer to use Internet explorer as my default browser but when I do the long running script gives me trouble. Thanks for your reply. Bobpatio - Playing around I DISCOVERED a new (new to me) idea. I have both Crome and IE in my computer. When I use Crome as my default browser but I sign to IE 11 , every thing is fine. I have not noticed any long running scripts or has the computer shut down or frozen. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. Is this POSSIBLE or do I have some kind of glitch? It would seem that all the problems are related to using IE as my default browser. Bob
