Answer» i have lost my brightness controls, i have a toshiba Satellite Pro M30-114:Intel® C...my operating system is windows xp, i have been onto the toshiba site to download the drivers, they GO onto my desk top, i then click on these but NOTHING happens, any one help me on this one, thanks, allanCan you tell us what display you are using.. Does your monitor have independent controls?toshiba Satellite Pro M30-114 is a laptop What do you mean you lost your brightness controls?My bad. i seem to have lost the controls to ADJUST the brightness, i have also lost the hot keys function, the F key that alters the brightness up & down, i go to the Toshiba web site, download the SOFTWARE, goes to my desk top, double click, does not do any thing, the ODD time, the control panel for the brightness may appear at the bottom, i am confused, worse if i run on battery only, the screen is dim, cannot alter the brightness.
