Are you actually "copying" or scanning?  I suspect you mean scanning.  Copying normally means making a paper copy of an original document.  Scanning is what creates an image on the hard drive of the original document. Your right Soybean.i was scanning. i have done it before on my old printer (also a Brother) and they always went into my pictures .but if i remember rightly,
something came up on the bottom of the page asking where i wanted to put them.ie emails /ocr or others but that hasn't happend this time.
so what do you think. It means they are landing in the last location you saved something to...

Do a scan and save it and note what location opens...

You could also so a search by the file extension..... *.*+.exe is the wildcard search.I have a Brother printer.  It's about 2 years old.  The Brother software for my printer, by default, puts scanned documents in C:\Users\username\Pictures\ControlCenter3\Scan.  So, you MIGHT try navigating folders on your computer and see whether your scanned images may be going to the same location; substitute your actual username for username in the location path I posted.

Or, just try a search as patio suggested. Soybean...i have just noticed in Win7 that when i go to save a file the default is wherever i saved something last...no matter the file extension...PERHAPS it's the new default setting.
Just a heads up,,,Thanks to all of you.  Patio/soybean/jason2074. tried another scan and there they where .(i dont actually know where.) it said something like pictures central 3.
so i just transfered them to my pictures.ill' just have to keep practising.
