Solve : Lost sound card?? |
Answer» Ok... i just had to reformat because i had so MANY viruses that i couldn't get rid of, and after i did i lost all sound, i went to start/allprograms/accessories/system tools/system information and clicked on components and then sound device and NOTHING showed up... but before i reformatted i had sound and everything worked fine, so i'm not sure what the problem is... i have no idea what sound card i have so i cant download a driver =\ ... hopefully someone will know what to do... thanks for your timeDownload & run Everest Home Edition to find out what your soundcard is. the download times out More information? ok, i got it ... just to make sure i'm not an idiot, i went to multimedia then PCI/PnP Audio and it says "Intel 82801EB ICH5 - AC'97 Audio Controller ... is that it?Now you're cooking. ok, so if that's it how do i get it working?Find the drivers on the NET, download then DOUBLE click on the file.ok i'm either blind, or looking in all the wrong places, i can't find it anywhere.Check with Everest again & bring back your motherboard details.what do you want to know?Motherboard name?ABIT IS7-GTalk about going round in circles looking for drivers.
