Okay I just GOT a new windows xp computer, I have downloaded legal videos and want to put them onto DVD's so I can watch them on my tv. I am competely clueless as to how to go about it. Currently the video are either in AVI or mpg format. Thanks!JenErick....... Do you have a DVD burner installed in your pc ?
What burning software do you have ?


dl65 I have sonic MyDVD LE, and I have windows media centerGoogle for these things DVD santa, TMPGEnc encoder and TMPGEnc DVD author.

[highlight]Nero 7:[/highlight] [size=14]6[/size] - This is programs O.K, the only problem is the menu! You cannot change singular text ! Adding to that it doesn't provide many predefined menus.

[highlight]Sonic DVDit 6[/highlight]: [size=14]8[/size] - Just need to get USED to it ! If you find a tutorial it's superb ! Making the Menu takes some time for a Beginner, but as you get used to it always gets easrier and faster !

[highlight]MAGIX Video Deluxe 2005[/highlight]: [size=14]7[/size] - The program is gets full 10 points for making the movie but only 7 points for making the DVD 'cause it can take till 5 hours to burn 1 DVD ! But the functions for making the DVD are really great ! I don't know how the 2006 versions gonna be !

I had problems making the menu and importing videos, so I couldn't even make a DVD ! (I was close to rating this program with 1 point then I said to myself, at least I could open it ! )

Hope this helps you /meWell you better watch out what you are doing casue sometime your dvd will not play what you have copy becasue you have burn it in the wrong format so make show your have burn the DVD or CD to one of these formatt:
MPEG 1/ 2, VCD, SVCD, JPEG, WMA
These are common formatt that dvd will play.
