Answer» Hi All: I'm new on this forum and I apologize if I'm ASKING for INFORMATION that has ALREADY been COVERED. My problem, I am using Outlook 2000 for me email program, when I send an email with a file attachment the file is received as a .dat extension file. If I attach files they are normally Word DOCUMENTS or .jpg files. Have I inadvertently changed a setting somewhere. Thanks for any help you can offer. Jerry
