Are you using a Microsoft Exchange email account? Is this happening at work or at home? i dont KNOW what a microsoft exchange email address is. i'm guessing a microsoft email address? i am using a "[emailprotected]" email address. it is happening at home. What is an Exchange Server e-mail account?: "Home users typically do not have an Exchange Server e-mail account; instead they use a POP3 e-mail account with an Internet service provider (ISP)" Was this working right at one time? Have you reviewed your email account settings? Do you use Outlook for email? Can you send and receive OK?Quote from: soybean on July 31, 2007, 10:04:30 AM What is an Exchange Server e-mail account?: "Home users typically do not have an Exchange Server e-mail account; instead they use a POP3 e-mail account with an Internet service provider (ISP)" i just set it up about a week ago, so it's been doing this ever since. i am definetly using a POP3 account and from reading that, i definetly dont have an exchange server. i use my outlook for my email and everything else. i can send and receive mail fine. my settings for my email seem to be fine. i'm no pro at this, but i've setup a few POP3 accounts before. who knows, maybe i did something wrong? When you installed Outlook, do you recall a screen asking whether you're on an Exchanger server, or something to that effect? Uninstalling Outlook and reinstalling it might be worth a try. This might be helpful: Options for Installing Outlook 2003. BTW, what version of Outlook do you have? i dont recall anything asking me if it was an exchange server or not. i just installed it with the whole office 2007 pack... so to answer your other question too, i am running outlook 2007. hopefully you're familiar with it, because i'm not so much. i had 2003 before.I'm still using Office 2003. I've had a chance to look at Word 2007 and Excel 2007 but not Outlook 2007. I'm about out of ideas here but I'm GOING to PM you a message.Quote from: kingjaydub on July 31, 2007, 11:34:56 AM i dont recall anything asking me if it was an exchange server or not. i just installed it with the whole office 2007 pack... so to answer your other question too, i am running outlook 2007. hopefully you're familiar with it, because i'm not so much. i had 2003 before. You can find plug-in to fix it here http://www.office-backup.com/ms_outlook-backup.htmlQuote from: Jizzy on August 02, 2007, 08:31:43 AM Quote from: kingjaydub on July 31, 2007, 11:34:56 AMThat looks like it might a good backup SOFTWARE to use with Outlook but it has nothing to do with the problem here.i dont recall anything asking me if it was an exchange server or not. i just installed it with the whole office 2007 pack... so to answer your other question too, i am running outlook 2007. hopefully you're familiar with it, because i'm not so much. i had 2003 before. You can find plug-in to fix it here http://www.office-backup.com/ms_outlook-backup.html |
