Solve : Microsoft USB Intellimouse Explorer?

Answer»

i need a DRIVER for a microsoft USB intellimouse explorer optical v1.1, but every site i find re-directs me to microsofts site, which is a dead end because they stopped supporting this mouse quite a long time ago. its a five button mouse, optical, with a scroll wheel, and its USB v1.1. its OLD, but it works great. if you know where i can get find a driver, please tell me, thanks.

EDIT: as a note, the v2.0 driver MAY work if i can find it, but the 3.0 does not work at all with this mouse. a UNIVERSAL driver for the series would probably work also, as long as i can set the side buttons to do what i want them to, i'll be happy.I would just invest in a new mouse...i highly recommend Logitech.
The wireless optical i use right now was less than 30.00 after rebate and it is bulletproof...Did you try to update the driver from device manager. Windows might have a built in driver.Quote

i LIKE my mouse. i see no reason to in getting a new mouse when mine has NEVER failed in the seven odd years my family has used it, and no, windows doesnt have a built in driver that supports the button feature. that and "investing" in anything is a bit impossible, as my budget is literally non EXISTENT.
