Solve : Microsoft Word Date?

Answer»

I have MS WORD 2007. The date on documents that I have stored changes to the current date when I open them and will not allow me to save it with the created date. Is this an autoformatting issue? How do I disable it?Do you MEAN the date of the file or dates within the document itself?if you have that autoupdating header that always KEEPS your dates up to date....The date within the documentWhere is it stored? The document? I a sub-folder in My Documents. No, I meant the date. Where do you GO in Word to see it? I have Word 2007 but I'm not sure what you're talking about.Oh, it is a letter and the date is the first line of the document below the header.I THINK this reference from Indiana University might help: In Microsoft Word, how do I put a date on my document? Thanks Soybean,
The documents that I use need to have the original dates and using the static method on the UI site allows me to make the change once and it will remain that way.
