... the most trusted ...?
I don't know and I don't anybody here can support a claim of a certain Anti-Virus Software being the most trusted. I think there are quite a few good ones to chose from, so I wouldn't be obsessed with trying to find the "most trusted". I've been using avast! Antivirus Free for some months, almost a year with Windows 7, and am very pleased with it. Quote from: patio on October 13, 2011, 06:43:39 AM

Let's not forget about SpywareBlasterSomeone is sharing. So I'll SHARE mine too.

But "These are not the most trusted anti-virus programs."...

Laptop
Primary: Microsoft Security Essentials (real-time protection enabled)
Secondary: SUPERAntiSpyware (backup)
Tertiary: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (backup)

additional: Windows Firewall, Web Of TRUST, CCleaner, Trend Micro HijackThis

Desktop
Primary: Avira AntiVir (real-time protection enabled)
Secondary: SUPERAntiSpyware (backup)
Tertiary: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (backup)

additional: Comodo Firewall, Web Of Trust, CCleaner, Trend Micro HijackThisccleaner has nothing to do with anti-virus or anti-malware

HiJack this should not be used by anyone who dues not FULLY understand how to use it and the implications of deleting items with HJT

SuperAntiSpyware and MalwareBytes are not anti-spyware apps - they are anti-malware apps. As indicated above, they can (and should) be used in conjunction with a good anti virus application.
