Solve : Moving videos from Photobucket onto my computer.?

Answer»

Not a problem, that's why we're here.  How's it going?

I used IE,and I finally was able to TRANSFER the videos to Skydrive. I went on and deleted the videos on Photobucket since I transferred them to Skydrive. I tried to open one of the files, but the Photobucket page appears. The video doesn't show because I ALREADY deleted them from Photobucket!

I saved the same videos onto my USB drive though. I tried to open one from my USB drive but the same thing happened. I feel like giving up with this, but I really don't want it to get the best of me.  Were you choosing Save Target As or possibly Copy Shortcut?
Or were you using Save Picture As or Copy?

If you were using either of the first choices you only saved a link to the files, and not the files themselves.

Take a look at the files that you saved and see if they have a .htm file extension. When I set the curser over the file,it reads"Type:HTML Document.

When I right-click on the file, this is what pops up:

Open Link
Open Link In New Tab
Open Link In New Window
Save Target As...
Print Target
---------------------------------
Save Picture as...
Email Picture...
Print Picture...
Go To My Pictures
Set As Background
---------------------------------
Copy
Copy Shortcut
---------------------------------
Add To Favorites
Properties

The files that I transferred to Skydrive are deleted from Photobucket already. That shouldn't have anything to do with it,right? You're the only person that has ever helped me with a question this long. Most PEOPLE would have given up by now!
Then you weren't saving the files, only a shortcut to them.  If you don't have those files stored somewhere else they are gone.

Is it possible that a family member or friend may have some copies of these that they downloaded? Quote

I'm too damned stubborn to give up on anything.
No. No one would have access to them. I had Photobucket set to private.I regret to tell you this, but they are gone.  Unless you can contact PhotoBucket and ask them to retrieve them from cache.
Just because you deleted the files from their server doesn't mean that they've flushed the files yet.

If they have flushed them, then the files are gone.  Contact them fast though, as in ASAP, phone them if you have to.I had a feeling that I was going to regret deleting them! I'll let you the outcome.Okay, I'm really sorry that I had to tell you that.I emailed Photobucket,so we'll see. I even tried to look in my temporary internet files, but I had no luck.Hopefully they will have good news.  Well,Photobucket replied to my email. This is what they responded with:

I'm sorry, but once content has been removed from Photobucket, we can not
retrieve it.  We always recommend that you keep backups of all of your
content.

I still don't understand why I can't open the files that I already uploaded on Skydrive though! I didn't delete them from Photobucket until I uploaded them on Skydrive! Oh well,I learned a good lesson out of all of this though.

Thanks again for ALL of your help. If I ever have anymore questions(which I probably will),I hope that I can get you to assist me.
