Answer» I have: Compaq evo d310v,XP service pack 3 home edition. Problem is the Microsoft.netframework programs are corrupted and some programs will not operate without them. I have tried to uninstall using the control panel program removal utility but this will not do it. Tried system restore but the problem occurred before the last available recovery point. I have the original system set up disks.Download and reinstall Microsoft.netframework programs.Thanks. When I try to download the net framework programs I get the message that IE has a problem and must CLOSE.....When I try to remove the programs I get the message that the patch package cannot be opened..... I have even SWITCHED to IE 6 from Ie 8 in CASE the prob might lie there. Is it possible to USE the Compaq restore disk to make a SELECTIVE restoration??
