Solve : MS Paint?

Answer» OK, please help!!! I had a folder of "unused desktop icons" paint was in there...I deleted the folder, and now my ms paint says it cannot be found! What do I do?!? :-?Clueboy12..... If you are using XP ....... click start /all programs /accessories .....then when the list of accessories is published , look and see if paint shows up ....if it does scroll to it and right click on it and select .... send to ....... Desktop (create short cut )

dl65 well i'm not that stupid!
i checked there, it doesn't show up on the accessory list, it does however show up on the main start menu, (i USED to have a shortcut there) but when you click on it, it says paint cannot be found and when you send it to the desktop it says it cannot...Try this:

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
Go to Add/Remove Windows components.
Find the Accessories and Utilities box at the top, and uncheck it, click next.
The accessories are uninstalled. Then go back to Add/Remove Windows Components.
Check the box and click next.
Accessories will reinstall. Check to see if Paint is there again.Clueboy12......... LOL ........ Quote

If you had mentioned that in your post , the suggestion wouldn't have been offered. We arent mind readers here ...so we tend to offer the simplest solution first .

dl65 He's right. Nobody's going to insult your intelligence - unless Mac comes around. But we've been trying to GET rid of him.

There's no shame in asking for help. I ask for help a lot on the forum - ask anybody. But try what I OUTLINED in my above post - basically, a reinstallation of the Accessories. Too BAD it's not easier to access these options... anyway, let us know if it worked or failed.oh, no i didn't take it as an insult to my intellect, i was just saying that i'm not completely computer illiterate! Thanks dilbert, your uninstall and re-install instructions worked! Thanks!!! You're welcome. If you ever have any other questions/problems, do not hesitate to post. We'll be happy to help.
