I was using MS Paint today and attempted to access the Help Topics file and could not.  

I would click on the option in the Help menu, see the HOUR glass for a couple seconds then it would disappear and no help file would appear.
All the other features appeared to work fine.

I have a fairly new computer so don't remember WHETHER or not I have successfully used the help file in Paint before today. I can access it on my old computer with no problem.

Restarting did not help.  I have XP Professional.  Not sure what other info would be helpful.

Should I try to reload the program SOMEHOW?

Have that shiny MS CD READY as it will ask for it.

I did type in type in sfc /scannow and let it run.  Took awhile and never asked for my CD.

Unfortunately, it also didn't seem to make any difference.

What I ended up doing is uninstalling Paint and reinstalling it in the control panel and it's all there now.

I'll think about that first next time.
