I can't find an answer to this...i TRIED to update MSE's virus/spyware definitions, but it failed due to an internet/connectivity problem. Help, please ? 

Thank you !Have you resolved the problem sherry? MSE UPDATES AUTOMATICALLY by default unless some specific ERROR CODES or messages is given. Try this thread from Microsoft regarding MSE not updating.
