I have turn the switch off and on .that on the back of the tower now when it has power problem there is a light that stay on ,on the motherbord so my question is this what could cause this power problems ?
Many things can cause this...

We need lots more info on that machine, OS and what happened prior to proceedMost likely problem is the PSU. It is overheating and shutting down. Turning it off and back on resets it. And of course, it will fail again as soon it heats up. Replace it with a quality PSU with a higher wattage rating. I stress QUALITY, don't be cheap; the PSU is the computers heart. Yours is having heart attacks.Quote

Thanks 2k_dummy I am going to replace the psu. Its what I thought so too just wanted to hear from somebody eles . Here a list of whats on the system.

1. Windows xp home edition
2. 80 gig hard drive
3. 240 gig hdds
4. A dvd burner
5. cd-rom
6. Gigabyte GA-7N400 " motherboard " DUAL bios
7. Three CASE fan on it
8. 1 gig ramThe given reasons for my PSU (Antec) latching into shutdown are Over Current, Over Voltage or Short Circuit.
Is your electricity supply stable, has the computer been running OK prior to this, have you added any new hardware recently?I've also seen shutdown problems from overheating CPU's and bad RAM so check both of these as well...your BIOS might report temps if not grab a program CALLED SpeedFan or run Belarc advisor...
For the RAM TEST DLoad and run MemTest. What is the make and wattage of the power supply in there? This is frequently diagnostic. It is a powermax model LP- 8800 400w max. I just remember from the other day my CMO battery is low , would that have something to do with my power problem? Two separate problems and both need to be addressed. How do you know your CMOS battery is low?because it flash on screen
