Solve : Need help with VERY annoying issue!?

Answer»

I use Outlook. One of the kids was trying to retrieve her phone numbers and synchronized with Motorola Phone Tools. I don't know if that has something to do with my problems, but now I can't add a new e-mail address in my contacts. I can put in the name, phone, whatever, but when I type in the e-mail address and tab to the next field, the e-mail address disappears! I've uninstalled/reinstalled my Office suite to no avail. Any IDEAS? I'm perplexed. If you use windows xp or vista, use system restore. Restore to a date just before the problem started happening. Usually that will fix problem, but let us know how it goes.I tried that before...didn't work. Tried again today twice, going back to different dates. No GOOD. I am at a total loss here. Maybe your profile GOT corrupted. Try to create a new one.try to create new profile. or try windows live mail

Windows Live Mail: Microsoft's free e-mail program, with the familiar features of Outlook Express, PLUS more.

Well, apparently trying out other software that gives about the same or additional features for which she is COMFORTABLE with and does not have problems would be good.

Maybe try other software to see if same problem comes up. In that case, it is something wrong with computer or it's something connected with the phone. If other software has no problem, then it is just a problem with outlook. And if the other new softwares does what she wants and does not have the problems, then it's all set.

Otherwise ... she'll have to examine the issue further. Thanks for all the input...I really do need to use Outlook, though, because that is what I sync with my PDA.
