Solve : Need Software Security Advice?

Answer»

I RECORDED some education lectures and want to put them in some software and then copy on some media like dvds, usb or CDS etc.
how can i secure my product and restrict it to be copied.
How can i ensure that every person must BUY its own copy.
Any solutions/recomendations ?Please do not post the same question more than once. I deleted the duplicate.Unfortunately there is no real way to do this - There are systems that can make it a bit harder for someone to copy the DATA but there is no foolproof way. Basically - If someone can put something into their PC, there is no way to stop them from COPYING it.

I mean, look at movies being pirated all over the place - If there was a good way of stopping videos from being copied then movie piracy wouldn't happen.

Your only real option is to trust that people will not illegally share the content or that at least people will buy a copy even if it is available illegally.camerongray is right. There are individuals and groups that pose any for of copyright enforcement by digital or mechanical means. One in particular is the sire called "Pirate Bay". Anything that can be put on a PC that will let others download.

If the materiel is really good, consider getting a sponsor who will let people see it over the internet, but not download it. The sponsor will insert short commercial messages to pay for the cost. If you get a lot of traffic, the sponsor will give you a cut. maybe.
