Solve : Need some help with Microsoft Outlook?

Answer»

I have a '98 version of Windows. Anyway, whenever I try to receive messages or try to send them, I get this error:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop3.frontiernet.net', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

HELP PLEASE!Check your port settings. Port 25 (needed for sending email using SMTP) or port 110 (USED to receive email using POP3) may be blocked by your firewall or router.

Hope this helps. Um, I LIKE to think I know more about computers than the average person, but I hardly understood a word you typed.Quote

Do you have a software firewall (Such as ZoneAlarm, Sygate or Norton Internet Security) or a Router which divides your connection and shares it with other computers in your network at home?
