Answer» I want to use Window MOVIE Maker for editing some MPG-2 video. When I try to import files on the computer into it I get... cannot be IMPORTED because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already TRIED to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again. I looked at Microsofts SITE to download codec but cannot find one specific to Movie Maker only Media Player which already shows the video fine. Is this a different codec or is the same one used for both. If so why does it work in one and not the other.
