Im trying to help my father with his new computer, its an Acer Aspire SA90 with windows Vista Home installed, however we decided to load Windows XP Home as he had major problems with vista. I had to install the Audio drivers from Acer web site thats working ok but i cannot install the Ethernet Drivers so i can connect his cable modem, message comes up saying " Internet Explorer Cannot DISPLAY The Webpage " What else can i do? Thank You.The Ethernet drivers will be on the driver CD that shipped with the machine...usually included with the MBoard drivers...There was no CD in the box at all, I thought when you buy a new computer they at lest give you a System restore CD. Can i get some sort of support CD for this computer if i go to the store where my father bought the computer from? Or will i be wasting my time?It depends on the retailer...some are much better than others.

Don't let them charge you $ $ as what you need if they don't have it would be available at Acer's website.

You MAY have voided your warranty by wiping out the Vista install however...

The other option you have would be to DLoad and install Everest Home on that machine which will tell you what every component is. It will then be EASIER to track down XP drivers for that card...This is what I do and I reconnmend it to you:

If you can use a friend's/libary's/someone's computer (Make sure you have a USB Drive or something to put data onto) download the drivers and then plug the USB/CD/DVD/etc, to your Dad's computer then install it from there, its always good to have 2 COMPUTERS ^_^Good news, i managed to down load the driver from Acer web site.
