Solve : Need workaround for Drivers?

I aborted DOWNLOAD from microsoft download center for a driver update when
it asked me for the window cd's,which are LOST. Now when I try to bootup
I receive a message to insert the cd's. and this is as far as i can go.can I correct
this problem thru ms-dos and if so what would be the process?    :-/

Boot to DOS - command prompt only. ENTER command scanreg/restore and CHOOSE a date prior to the problem. You can also try scanreg/fix. If it doesn't boot NORMAL mode, try to boot to safe mode and run msinfo32. Look in the startup section for anything that has been added and uncheck it. Reboot. Quote

were perfect and it corrected my problem.Wilma and pepples also
