Solve : Netvista need drivers?

Answer»

I was lucky enough to win about 40 IBM
NetVista and NetBios? desk top and
tower PCs. Along with them I also won
a similar number of SAMSUNG Syncmaster 750S.

They were scrubbed by the company to prevent piracy
and no software was included.

I started to GET some working using my WIN98 disk, the
computers have Win 98, ME and 2000 certificates on them COA.
Since all software was gone I have no drivers for the graphics
(Intel 815, S3 Trio3D, S3 Savage,) CD/s CD RW, DVD-RAM
of internal Sound systems, Network ethernet card, etc.

I temp installed a copy of XP on the netvista machine and the graphics and
internal sound worked, but I can't sell any machine with XP.

How can I find out with WIN 98 what driver I need?
Is there a place that shows computer components?

I plan on looking to get about $70 for a COMPLETE setup.

You should try Everest.---------->Here To ID your
components. The graphics drivers should be at the below site.

THANK YOU

That program is great.
I used it on the netvista and it told me
what sound card I have. I found the
Win 98 driver on ibm's site and the
internal speakers are working great.

I also used it on the IBM 300GL machine and
it also had a sound card. The driver for that
machine took 3 tries to install but it is
also working.

Now to find out why my Linksys wireless NIC
will not work on my Win 98 machine........ "Now to find out why my Linksys wireless NIC

It may not be compatible with windows 98,,,Do you have
Win 98 FE or Win 98 SE ?The cd I have is an early first edition.

I have another older machine in the house
that is a WIN 98 SE but I have no disc for
it.

Is there a way to use my old machine to update
to Win 98 on the NEW machine? You need to buy an original copy of Windows 2000.
