Solve : New Anti Virus?

Answer»

I have been a strong supporter of AVG for years now, but recently I've been questioning it's worth as viruses have been getting the better of it. I have now had several situations now where AVG has been rendered completely inert by viruses. I think this dog has had it's day.

So does ANYONE have any recommendations for a replacement anti-virus? I'm thinking about Avira as it also works on Linux (as I'm thinking about making a Linux diagnostic disc)If you are also RUNNING Windows I would like to suggest using avast!. It is modular and very customizable, it's also the one I use.I've lately after extensive testing and being an original skeptic by natire been on the MSE bandwagon...
Low on system resources...unobtrusive...and just flat out does it's job...
Runs on anything from XP on...as long as all Service Packs are installed.Quote from: patio on May 25, 2011, 06:53:09 PM

What!? Leave Microsoft in charge of something important! :p

I've decided to try out Avira (I forget why now, there was a GOOD reason though) after consultation of the CH database. I'm not so much interested in SPEED, I'm after RELIABILITY.
