Solve : new dell xps computer has Sata and scsi drives can I connect a eide with a usb c? |

Answer» Hi: I have a dell xps computer that has sata hard drives and scsi. I would like to attach an eide drive using a usb-eide converter. So now I would have a eide drive attached by usb converter. Would this work? Does eide have to be in the bios? I have a spare dirve and my compuer needs to be backed up and I FIGURE if this works it would be cheaper than a new drive. What do you think Thanks, littledogIf you've got a Hard Drive plugged in VIA USB, you should be able to see it in My Computer when the computer has turned on.Buy an add-on PCI IDE card that will allow you to CONNECT up to 4 IDE devices... |
