Solve : No Array Defined - Help?

Answer»

I have a fairly new dell 1721 running on vista, and one day I turn on my computer and at "boot" it says "no array defined." it tells me to press CONTROL + F. I press that and nothing happens so then I press f2 for setup utility. I go to onboard devices, sata operation, and I change the setting to auto detect and when I restart it says "no bootable devices."  my friend told me to do this and he is also at a loss. I have no idea what to do. any help would be appreciated.  thanxDo you have 1 hard drive or 2?1.Check in BIOS to see that RAID is turned off. I turn the raid on in sata operation and it still says no array defined. then I switch it to raid autodetec and it restarts and says no bootable devices. there is no OPTION to turn raid off and I still can't get to my start menuHave you dropped the laptop? There could be a loose connection somewhere. Taking the HD out and putting it back in might work. The problem could be a FAILED HD too.
