Here's one freeware option, one I have installed on my Win XP machine: PrimoPDF 4.1. Quite a few other such programs are also AVAILABLE, in case you're not satisfied with this one.

The way this works is that PrimoPDF is ADDED to your system as a "printer". You then SELECT it, just as you would a regular printer, and "print" to a PDF file.
