Solve : No Sound, Audio Driver?

Answer»

I had ordered a Intel D865GVLCL Intel 865GV Socket 478 mATX Motherboard in order to have a remote app. I also, use this machine for other things. When I first installed XP I was ABLE to install the sound driver without any trouble. For some reason know its not there also, its attempting to find it. It dont seem that I am able to install the one from the SITE ether :/Get the proper driver from the MBoard manuf. site and re-install it...
No need to remove the old one.Quote from: Ryuk on January 08, 2012, 01:33:31 PM

Did some research. Apparently your comp has Analog Devices AD1981B audio. Try the solution posted here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=234563Any LOGICAL reason to quote your 1st Post without a reply ?Quote

I think the guy said he already tried the one from the website.

This Ryuk character is a funny one. He sure has a lot of issues and a lot of different computers. The COMBO magnetic optical drive and the NetWare server are my favorites...thats some dinosaur eguipment...
I think those optical drives lasted APPROX. 18 months on the market freom what i remember...and they weren't cheap.Quote from: patio on January 08, 2012, 06:24:06 PM

They were rather costly from what I knew. The station that I help with doesnt really throw stuff out :/Personally i'd ask for a raise...seems not much of their equipment works judging by the different Topics...Some of the stuff got really used or put out of service.
