I have a Toshiba Satilite LAPTOP and whenever I go to watch music videos from yahoo or anything like that. I cant get sound. But yet if I PUT in a movie or something then i do have sound. And when I play my music from Media Player i have sound. I looked in my device manager and everything is working properly.

Any ideas?

thnxWhat Windows version? What browser? Did you try another browser?Media Center Edition. I use IE7. It worked up until about a month AGO. I cant get sound with any browser or media player on videos. On my music files ...i can though. OddWindows XP, maybe?
Are you current with Windows updates?XP, yes. and yes. I have the latest updates. Maybe I dont have up to date shockwave player or something.The best way to eliminate some options, is to install Firefox, and see if same thing happens.I do have Firefox. But the not all of the problems lie within Internet Browsers. I cannot get my videos to play sound with Windows Media Player or WinDVD unless its running off of a DVD or USB or something. Oh, so if you have video downloaded to your HD, it won't play sound, right?
