Answer» I have a COMPAQ persario SR1403WM desktop, when I boot up my computer I get three louds beeps within the first 3 seconds of it turning on and the monitor isn't recongnizing any video signal. Any help would be helpful. thanks3 beeps, and no video, indicate RAM problem. Turn computer off. Open the case. Try to re-seat RAM. Try to start computer with 1 RAM stick at a time.NOW I have an even WORSE problem...I went to cleaning the computer and removed the heat sink for the CPU and then, what do you know, the cpu is attached to it with some kind of sealent and I can not put the CPU BACK in its PLACE without removing the sealent, what do I use to remove the sealent or is there some way I can put it on because the heat sink is way to large to put onThis is never a good idea to do TWO things at the same time, and I don't recall any advice about removing heat sink.
