Solve : Non-Plug and Play Drivers?

Answer»

Running Windows XP SP3 on Intel core i3 3.1 GHz  3GB RAM
On every start and occasionally through the day i see the message:
"The software you are installing for this hardware:
Non-Plug and Play Drivers
Has not passed Windows Logo testing etc etc......."

The options are continue or stop installation.  I choose Stop installation

I am not trying to install any new hardware, not trying to install software.  Why am I GETTING this message ?

I think I may have chosen the "continue" option once sometime ago and was then plagued with 45 or more TROJANS every day which I managed to clear eventually with daily scans with MalwareBytes, CCleaner and SUPERANTISPYWARE.

Why does my system think I am trying to install hardware ?

Thanks for any help you can give.   There may or may not be a clue to what it is in Event Viewer...Maybe upgrading your operating system will help,Windows xp is very old with no supportFeel FREE to ignore the above post. Thanks Allan, I certainly do.Found it !   AVG Antivirus Free needing to install a driver for something, the driver unsigned !  Deleted AVG Free, cleaned the registry, tried to reinstall AVG Free and it would not install untill I allowed that driver to be installed as well.  Allowed it to install, AVG Free completed the install and there has been no recurrence.
As a side note though, AVG Free still occasionally finds Trojans which Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware do not find.  Is is possible that AVG is finding false positives ?  Anyone come across this before ?
