hiya, i RECENTLY had to re install windows due to an error, after a bit of trial an error i managed to install it, but now i CANT finish the final process of the install as i cant use my mouse and keyboard as NONE of my usb ports are working, i cant even CHARGE my phone through them ?


this has really stumped me as i have no clue what to do,

any chance your PC only has USB3 ports and you haven't yet loaded the drivers for USB3? (they are native with Win10 luckily)Welcome to the CH forum. Many volunteers here will help you with your problem.

But you did not include the make and model of your computer.
Lacking specific details, here is my guess as to what happened...

The problem comes from doing a r-install of Windows.
You were superposed to make a image of the system as a BACKUP. But you did not do that, instead you tried to install windows 7 from media that did NOT include specific drivers for your computer. The drives are on a CD. Or you download them from the maker of the motherboard.

You must use chip set drivers from the maker of the motherboard or from the OEM that sold you the complete computer.
