Solve : nvata issues?

Answer»

Here is the basic RUNDOWN, GOT a comp that errors with bsod and its always something to do with nvata.  the system is running win xp,  after reading up on this error I have alleviated an overheating issues to start, then it continued, (while replacing fans and adding extra fans I also replaced the cpu) so next i updated to the latest sata/ide drivers, and it continued, replace the memory, continued, finally replaced the harddrive.  upon replacing the harddrive when trying to reinstall xp it errors at loading windows screen with nvata error.  so out of curiosity i TRIED loading win 7 on it.  when it gets to expanding windows it errors out with the nvata error.  Im assuming at this point its gotta be the motherboard but before i TELL this GUY hes gotta replace that after replacing the other stuff i would like to see if anyone might offer some other solution. To me this very much sounds like the point of replacing the computer versus all these replacements of hardware may have been passed or soon will be. Do you really think it  is prudent to continue replacing things at this stage? truenorthFrom Our Archives...Wow all that replacement stuff due to a software issue. "  Im assuming at this point its gotta be the motherboard but before i tell this guy hes gotta replace that after replacing the other stuff" If this is a commercial transaction i see some money being returned. If it is a friendship related attempt at assistance i hope the friendship is strong enough to endure.truenorth
