My video card version is 6.14.0011.8120. I'm using WINDOWS XP I just want to know the latest driver of GeForce 9400 GT. My problem is when I open "Left4Dead.exe" my monitor goes blank but the sound of the GAME is still there. MAYBE the problem is the driver or the installation process. Also make sure you have the required version of DirectX INSTALLED and the latest patch for the game (if any).

Make sure you meet the minimum requirements as well:
* Supported OS: Microsoft Windows XP / Vista / Vista64
* Processor: Pentium 4 3.0GHz
* Memory: 1 GB
* Graphics: 128 MB, Shader model 2.0, ATI 9600, NVidia 6600 or better
* Hard Drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space
* Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

I'd think CRT monitors or LCD monitors shouldn't matter, as long as it's decent brand. I think that my dad's 9 year old trinitron CRT monitor could probably handle L4D just fine. But let us know what you got first

But the maximum resolution would only be 800x600 or 1024x768 on a CRT that old.
