When i try to open Word, this message appears
(nul) is not a valid 32 application
all other applications in office work fine.
I TRIED to do a REPAIR in add/remove and got this
(PATCH package could not be opened)
I then tried to remove ms office 2003 so i could reinstall it to the comp but got the same message as above.
Now i'm stuck using open office
.Anyone got a solution to this problem?

These forums are as much for assisting other users as they are about learning from each other. Since you may not be the only one to ever stumble upon this problem, it might have been helpful to post the solution so that the next time this happens someone who is reading this may be able to post the solution.

I was going to tell the rest of the story but i got a call come in that i was WAITING for and had to go off the net.

The reason i was getting the error was a double up in the registry or something similar. The problem was solved after going here.

Hope this helps anyone with the same problem trying to delete a programme that wont.
