Solve : office 2007 on a server - question?

Answer»

Ok, is there a server version of OFFICE 2007? If not, can the program be loaded on a server and accessed over a small business network? Do licenses have to be bought to cover each workstation? The client is an veterinarian and there are 8 workstations, buying copies for each is a bit much at this time.

Any info is gratefully accepted.

Thanks
If you mean Windows Server 2003, I believe Office 2007 works with it. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Office_2007

But, I could be wrong but I believe you'd still need to install some part of Office on each workstation. Have you inquired about VOLUME license pricing? I believe that would save a LOT of money, compared to paying for MULTIPLE single license products. Thanks, I will CHECK on volume licenses. I have checked the Microsoft site but I don't see an enterprise edition. By that I mean a version like the Windows version that is used on the school's computers. One disk, hundreds of computers, no need to call and authenticate.
