Solve : Onboard audio?

Answer»

Okay, i just finished my first build and EVERYTHING went smooth....except for the audio. Every time i TRY to download the drivers from the disk that came with the mobo, i get a message saying "warning: you need to update your HD audio bus driver" or something to that degree, and it told me to go here: http://support.microsoft.com/?kdib=901105
i go there, and i get a list of links for troubleshooting. i've even tried to download the drivers from the realtek site, and they say the same thing. any help would be greatly appreciated. my system is as follows:

windows pro x64
epox nforce 590 sli mobo
amd athlon x2 6000+
XP Pro or VISTA?

Did you try installing the drivers in compatability mode?it's xp pro x64, and the DISC doesn't give the option to choose compatibility....when i click on the Realtek HIGH Definition Audio Driver V.1.45, it just starts downloading it, and i get the message saying i need to update the audio bus driver.Install the latest Windows updates. Might try here: Realtek Audio Driver (9x/ME/XP/2K)
