Solve : One Confused Laptop - Need Help Please?

Answer»

I just bought a 2nd hand laptop running windows xp home. Pentium m 1.7, 1 gig mem, 60 gig hard drive and 128mb graphics. Now the problem is that it will not allow me to play any games that require a little resourses. I tried to play Command and Conquer zero hour and it will not work. I ran a programe from the disk that looks at your system and reports back what it found. Hear is a snippet

Now i thought i would throw this over to you "higher beings " in the computer world and ask if there is something that i need to do to change the settings or drivers or something ?
Please help as i have no idea what is going on and it is starting to bug me now.
Thanks in advance.

Speedstep-type processors run at different speeds according to requirements and whether they're on battery POWER or mains.  This is an energy-saving device for laptops. So what do i do to TURN it off and get this sucker smokin ?Leave it on AC power.  Check out the specific utilities/control panel applets that came with your laptop.  You can probably override it.Nope, Still the same after changing power settings etc to always on. Im at a loss. Here is something that may help. When windows first starts i quickly run the programe above and it gives completley different stats. It comes back saying that all is ok. Then if i leave it for 20 seconds and run it again it sais the above , with the low stats etc. Could it be something in windows that is causing this ?
