Answer» Outlook 2000 Removing strikethrough font from completed items folder? It's a piddley little thing I know... but when I'm trying to PAT myself on the back for all that I've accomplished I have to strain to see through the strikethrough line which is placed (by default) over everyword. I'd like to see this list as I see other lists - legible. I can modify fonts in other folders... anyway that you know of to change it in the preset completed folder? It automatically does that when you delete emails when using IMAP not a POP email but it still keeps the items.
Do you want to compltely delete all the stikethrough emails? If you do, click on the folder you want to delete the messages from and go to the edit menu and click purge deleted emails.

Source: googleI haven't used the Tasks feature much and my version of Office is 2003. If I mark a task in, say, the Detailed List folder as completed, it appears in that folder with a strikethrough but also then appears in the Completed Tasks folder without a strikethrough. But, you're SAYING Outlook 2000 shows a strikethrough in the Completed Tasks folder. Right? In that case, we have a difference here between the two VERSIONS.
I've searched Outlook 2003 for a way to change the format of completed items but have not FOUND any solution. Now, I can't say with absolute certainty that such an option is not available somewhere but I can't find it. Sorry I can't be more helpful on this. Thanks for you rhelp but I figured it out. I was not seeing smething right infront of me - usually the case.
in custom view I needed to open "advanced formatting" and select the "rules for this view" (of the items Iwill be seeing - in this case it's completed and read tasks.) then I can change away.
Sometimes you have to walk away from a thing, go make mad passionate love to your wife, eat some Pad Tai, and come back to it with fresh eyes before you'll see the simple things. Thanks, George.
